Abstract

This issue of Inmaterial, diseño, arte y sociedad focuses on the responsibilities and commitments in the face of the wide variety of residues and waste that we generate, as well as the material, conceptual, strategic, conceptual and creative possibilities that these represent for research in art and design. The issue also brings together three articles in the Miscellany section.

Author Biographies

Mariona Moncunill, Bau College of Arts & Design - Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Cataluña

Doctor in Information and Knowledge Society (UOC), Master  in Cultural Management and Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (UB). She has studied at the .Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague (Netherlands) and done research stays at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano de Medellín. She currently combines academic research and teaching (BAU) with her artistic practice. 

Luís Guerra, Bau College of Arts & Design - Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Cataluña

Luis Guerra (1974, Santiago of Chile) is an artist-researcher, painter, poet, visual artist, PhD in Philosophy, and professor. He worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at CfAR Centre for Artistic Research, at the University of the Arts Helsinki, 2019–2020. Currently he is an Associate Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts at BAU University Centre of Arts and Design Barcelona. He is also guest professor in the Master in Contemporary Philosophy and Classical Tradition, at the Department of Philosophy, University of Barcelona, Spain. And he continues to be a Visiting Researcher at the Academy of the Arts, The University of the Arts Helsinki.
